Vignesh Sachidanandam

I'm currently designing and making things at WhatsApp. 

Prior to joining WhatsApp, I was a designer on the Android UX team. Our team designed and built the Android mobile platform. I led design for experiences that move beyond mobile into a world of ambient computing. 

I led design for Soli ∙ Motion Sense on Pixel 4, that enables a new way to control your phone using natural body language and gestures as a form of input. 

Before moving to the Bay Area and joining Google, I was a design manager at Microsoft. I led end-to-end design efforts for multiple products (Office, Outlook, Xbox, OneNote). This required working closely with users, partner teams, and Microsoft senior leadership. 

My design inventions have led to the filing of 40+ patents at Google and Microsoft. This includes a few with Bill Gates :)
